This is what it looked like after the keel was removed, as you can see the port bracket was all but gone. Amazingly I was able to remove the bolts that were left without cutting them. |

First first picture here is the keel lock down bolt which did not function and was removed along with both keel brackets. |

The trunk needed some cleaning and minor repairs in the front but overall was in good shape. I repaired the slight damage caused by the keel striking the front of the trunk and added a piece of 1/2 heavy rubber as a cushion if it is lowered to far again. The new keel brackets and pin. |

Here I have cleaned the area up and test fitted the new brackets making sure they line up correctly. Finally after painting the hull I caulk them generously with 3M 5200 and wait a week for it to fully cure. |
